Garnet Beauty Peach Tree
Introduced: 1958, Canada
An offspring of the Red Haven, the Garnet Beauty is a yellow-fleshed peach with a bold but balanced flavor. As the name suggests, the medium-large sized fruit is beautiful: its yellow skin has a red blush that creates a fiery color. A hardy tree that tolerates cold winters well, it produces fragrant pink blooms in late Spring and abundant fruit in late Summer. Freestone.

Peach Tree Notes:
Plant where trees will get sun for most of the day in a well drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots, don’t add fertilizers or compost when filling the hole, save those for a top-dressing once the tree leafs out. Always protect your new trees with a “mouse guard” either a wrap from a garden center or a tube made from hardware cloth. Peach trees are "self-fruitful", which means they don't need another pollinator tree. In fact, peaches often set too much fruit.
PICK TREES THAT BLOOM AT THE SAME TIME FOR PROPER POLLINATION AND FRUITING!
