Red-Currant Cider Sparklers

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pint Rovada red currants

  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

  • 1 1/2 cups chilled Champlain Orchards hard cider (Original or Honeycrisp)

  • Lemon peels, for garnish

 

INSTRUCTIONS

Red Currant Juice:

  1. Crush 1 pint of red currants in a bowl. Strain and set aside.

Drink:

  1. Combine 1/4 cup red-currant juice with lemon juice.

  2. Add sparkling cider.

  3. Divide between 2 glasses, and garnish each with a lemon peel.
