A large, old French heirloom apple, also known as Summer Rambo, that is distinctive for its large size, prominent ribs, and green-yellow skin with red streaky blush. It has a breaking, crisp, and very juicy flesh that is firm and aromatic, with a sweet-tart, vinous flavor, sometimes hinting at berries, vanilla, or mint.
